Early Interceptive Care
Did you know that major orthodontic work can be prevented or minimized with
early interceptive treatment?
Dr. Shelton recommends that children have their first orthodontic evaluation
between ages five and seven.
If interceptive treatment is necessary, Dr. Shelton uses gentle rubber guides
that your child wears at home and during sleep. The guides influence teeth
and jaws to expand and make room for erupting teeth and can help prevent the
need for braces later.
Not all children require early treatment. Please ask for a complimentary
